Pinkie Pie's imminent immolation from Fallout Equestria

Update: This is Pinkie's death as I understood it in my reading of original FoE. After posting this picture I was informed that Project Horizons modified the death. I found and read the passage in question. After a few minutes of biased contemplation I decided that I prefer the original version.

Hey, it's too early in the morning to get me to cry.

FO:E was brilliant at creating a roller coaster of heartbreak and heartwarming. You captured one of the greatest heartbreaks quite well.

Yeah. It's sad and ironic (?) that the mane six met their respective ends alone and in disharmony with each other.

"Don't let me burn." I'm sorry I kind of like that myself. She didn't burn. She was shot before it could happen.

Oh, good. Let's just put a damper on the catharsis of the original death. After all, don't we just hate it when stories make us feel?

Do you suppose I could legitimately change Fo:Eq's canon around to suit my whims if I were to write a long enough story? Perhaps it was unjust that Fluttershy became a tree? How about that whole ending sequence was just a dream Littlepip had, and the real Fluttershy was obliterated by an errant missile immediately after being teleported? Now let me just write a long as hell narrative, and then it is canon. For everyone.

Different Folks, Different Strokes. I like the idea that Pinkie Pie didn't burn to death. Have you ever seen someone burn to death? I have. A bullets a mercy.

:iconhavebkyourway:
So it may be. But wishing for something does not make it so. In Fallout: Equestria, Pinkie Pie is implied to have burned along with every other living thing in Manehattan. It was terrible. It was intended to be. In my opinion, a bullet adds nothing of value. It just complicates the narrative.

True, but also different stories and the Bullet was used to explain another character and there mental breakdown. Big enough toybox for people to play in I think for different interpretations.

Pinkie died from the balefire. I find it ridiculous that somepony would walk into the building as the town was being bombed, just to shoot her. I hate it when people try to soften the tough life that is found in the fallout of Equestria. Pinkie Pie died horribly, with no hope and no friendship, but there's nothing you can do about it.

People follow orders. And her orders were to kill Pinkie. And she did so. And like I said earlier, I would prefer the bullet to burning. Burning to death is horrible.

:/ Littlepip would have seen a bullet hole. And, seriously? Again, anypony would die from entering the building because of the fact that it was ten seconds away from a balefire detonation.
I hate it when people write fanfictions and draw art that is 100% noncanon.
It's like someone drawing a Season 4 unicorn Twilight Sparkle.

It's not a thing. It doesn't exist. It didn't happen.

Pinkie Pie could have easily been snuck up on because of withdrawls, and been shot pointblank. Also, she would have done nothing about it if she did know, because she knew she would die no matter what. Pinkie Pie would have known what happened to Twilight if she had been on PTMs, but being sworn off it, didn't.

Your theory is completely possible, but doesn't make sense. Please tell me, who murdered Pinkie Pie anyway?

PH didn't modify her death persay. so long as the bullet didn't hit any bones, the scene littlepip came upon would have been the same.

Sure, Kkat didn't explicitly walk us through the death scene. But that was unnecessary because it was obvious. Pinkie Pie died in the balefire. Occam's Razor dictates it must be so.

Damn, can hardly believe I made this a year ago. How time flies.

I wish somebody would draw this scene with the focus on Pinkie's face, similar to the first Sonic Rainboom scene ( derpibooru.org/187223 )

This scene was a very close second in the feels department for me, right behind the quite off-hand mention of Lyra's demise in Canterlot.

For me this was the most tragic arc of the Ministry Mares. Was not a good idea to be teasing that scene in a pub - barely held it together.

Nonsense. You clicked the thumbnail to this image. Why did you click that link, hmm? You love that sadness, don't you? You see a wonderful character you have grown attached to in a pit of despair, about to be burned alive and you think, "Awww yea I love me some grimdark! Bring on that emotional pain!"

It's not just me right?

;-; Now that I think about it, this is a lot better than the PH version. The other one seems too rash, hardly dramatic. Whereas this one invokes feels much better.

War...

War never changes; ponies do but not the paths they trot.

This time, ponykind had no choice but to follow this path... to the very end.

Nice picture. I like the colors and the composition. Those safes on the exterior wall are bit strange though. Are they hanging out from the outside of the building or just really shallow inside?

Honestly, I really didn't like how Somber changed it. Of course that may just be because I don't like Psalm.

Having read Project Horizons ... This scene is still very powerful! You did a fine job! Knowing that she looked right back at Psalm and said she did not want to burn just rips your heart out and stomps on it with great vigor. Your scene here is just fine (for those who have read P.H...... just figure she has been downed by the shot, and the rest is history)!
